Lady Gaga, please, stop copying, you’re NOT original!

It is less lovelier because it has been done before? It would be a pity. She doesn’t have to be original. Because you assume she is pretending to be original doesn’t mean she actually is. Im okay with Paris being a cliché and Gaga not being original. Maybe you should, too.

plenty of people copy all the time. if it’s a really big thing, then yeah, copying is bad. but these are hardly alike.

I don’t get why people get so huffy about “copying” .
Great artists throughout the centuries have done that.
Who the fuck cares.

I do like some lolita, but I’m almost completely put off by the somewhat lack of creativity. Or, the lack of openly shared creativity; the mighty rulebook seems to scare people into keeping their more obscure co-ordinates under wraps. The daily_lolita community on Livejournal seems a much more pleasant place to browse than egl, particularly the strictly non-snarky comments. This is Neyrelle on LJ, who always seems to have glorious co-ordinates, however I would not be surprised if similar images would be frowned upon in the egl community, even though there ARE no rules to the fashion. Why is it that Western jfashion fans manage to fail miserably when they do not follow these mythical guidelines, which have only been “written” by OTHER Western jfashion fans?
EDIT: May I add that my opinion is more of an “outsiders” (yet not completely outside - candy-injection and I explained the positives and negatives of lolita fashion to my housemate who is not particularly interested in any japanese fashion, and I think she was rather bemused by the whole thing. Understandably so.) point of view on the fashion, and that it seems to me that yes there IS plenty of creativity in lolita but there is also a lot of rulebooking.

I totally agree with you here. I remember once trying to add my own flair to a lolita outfit back when I used to be into lolita and people just jumped down my throat because my shoes ‘weren’t lolita’ (they were vintage boots) and aparently its a crime to wear a jumper skirt without a blouse under ~_~
The brands also kinda kill the creative part too, because you can just buy a whole set of skirt, blouse, socks, jewelry, head accessory, and it all matches, so there’s no effort you have to put into it if you spend the $$$

What the fuck.
Not the penis comment, I’m sure it’s lovely.
But this movie. How?

HELL TO THE YES.

You know what, no. Fuck this video. I thought it was gunna be something empowering about bigger women, which I’m totally cool with.

But all she does is dis smaller girls and call them boring and stupid…what the fuck? Everyone has different bodies and she is being just as ignorant and rude as the people that made fun of her.

What a hypocrite.

No, no, no! She’s kidding. She’s not really being serious. She’s sarcastic and she has a channel on youtube - I posted this for a friend that sent it to me. It’s supposed to be lighthearted; she has nothing against people that are skinny, thin, etc. If you’ve ever followed her, you’ll realize she’s just entertainment. It’s just comedy.

Don’t take it so seriously! I’ve been following her for years, she does makeup tutorials. She was just fed up with the comments and made something funny about it, that’s just what she does. JPMetz isn’t serious.

Lol well it wasn’t that funny either…
